Parent Services
Healing Art Space provides consulting services to help parents looking for support in managing their children’s behavior and deepening their relationship (4-12 years old).
We believe that taking some time to learn and practice different parenting skills will help deepen the connection with your child. Healthy relationships create healthy humans and together we create strong communities.

Workshops
-
Art and The Brain
Participants learn about the nervous system, the mind body connection and emotional regulation. Folks are invited to become aware of their own nervous system to foster self discovery and connection.
-
Building Trust
Participants engage in mindful art making where the focus is the process not the end result. As folks create art they practice being aware of thoughts and feelings; identifying ones that create doubt and ones that create confidence. The goal is to help alleviate pressure, particularly the pressure we put on ourselves.
-
Creating New Perspectives from Old Problems
Participants learn about reframing; taking a thought or idea and giving it a new perspective. We invite folks to find the strengths in difficult thoughts and emotions. Using collage as a metaphor for reframing we will use existing magazine pages to create new perspectives.
-
The World Around Us: Interpretive/Representative Art
Participants will create their own interpretation of a personal or political issue. Participants will engage in discussion and interpretation around different artworks and then will create their own.
